Hi, Just bought a 94 Cobra and unfortunately I have to park it in the crowded Philadelphia city streets where its not uncommon for people to hit your bumpers when parallel parking- leaving scratches/chips. My question is, what is the best (most durable) wax I can use on my bumpers to protect them from idiots. I will use regular wax on the rest of the car and the more durable/protectant wax on the bumpers for extra protection. The durable wax would also protect the front bumper from rock chips etc. when driving Any thoughts? Thanks.
No such thing if they are going to hit it or rocks hit it it's going to chip. Now a bra or the clear bra may help with rock chips but not some arse hole hitting you.
Any other suggestions then? I know with the higher end cars they sell like large clear stickers you can put on your bumpers to protect the paint from chips, scratches, etc.
If by large clear stickers, you mean the 3m clear bra, then you can get that done to anything, not just a high end car. I don't know that it would help with door dings but may prevent scratches.
Yeh that's what I meant. I'm not sure how much the 3M stickers cost but I would like to do this cheap since my 94 Cobra is not a show car but I do want to keep it looking nice. I saw this on eBay, I wonder if it is as good as the 3M clear material: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Uncu...goryZ50456QQihZ019QQitemZ8018736255QQtcZphoto Any links to 3M clear film being sold online (uncut)?
