I have a question about the Billetflow web page and the pullies offered. I was gonna go with the 4 pulley kit which is all idler pullies, along with the smaller S/C pulley. My question is two fold.

    1. Billetflow offers the s/c pulley in either "Hub and Pulley Ring" OR "Non-Slip Individual Pulley Ring" What is the difference. http://billetflow.com/supercharger_pulleys.htm

    2. With advice I have gotten from you guys about bolt on's I have come to the conclusion that once you pass a certain hp threshold, there are many things (parts) that need to be taken into consideration such as MAFia, fuel pumps, injectors, etc...

So, if I want to stay under the "threshold" what size pulley do I go with. Is the 2.93 to much or should I go with the 3.10?

FOR NOW, I would like to just add the pullies and get a dyno tune. As stated before, I have cai, bassani/borla exhaust.

Thanks for the great advice in previous posts!:hail2:

Don't you already have a 2.93 on the car now? Why get another 2.93?

The hub system is very convenient for those Terminator owners who like to run a lower boost setup on the street, and then move to a high boost setup for the strip. Once the hub is pressed on the shaft of the Eaton you can swap the different diameter outer rings with only the use of an allen wrench. You can swap from say a 3.10 to a 2.93 in just a minute or two. If you don't plan on swapping on a regular basis I suggest you stick with just a standard non-slip style pulley in a specific size.

What's with all the different colored and sized fonts?

    lol

Sorry for the fonts and colors! I cut and pasted the wording for the pullies from the site....and it came up red!

I do not plan a quick swap so I will go with the non-slip.

So can you answer my other question???? 3.1 or 2.93? As stated earlier, I would love to just do pullies and a dyno tune, and stay under the "threshold" hp cause I can't afford all the extra goodies needed. Will the 2.93 keep me under 500hp so I can keep stock injectors/fuel pump/MAF sensor????

    THANKS!

Yes, a 2.93, or even a 2.80 or 2.76 would all keep you under 500 when coupled with the stock lower. The problem with the 2.80/2.76 is belt slip. Stick with a 2.93 for now would be my recommendation.

Ok sounds good! A 2.93, 100mm idler for more belt wrap, cai and full exhaust except headers, and a dyno tune. 450-475 rwhp??????

    Thanks dude!

YUP! I'd say about 460RWHP would be the norm for that combo.

would you still get belt slip if you got the 1 piece or 4 piece idler set(billetflow) and the propper size belt?

I have a 2.93 with 100mm snub idler and stock idlers. No belt slip.

The other idlers are great pieces. They weigh less and are just much better quality than the stock steel pullies. If you can afford them, get them. Now I do believe they should be used if u are using a smaller lower pulley for more boost. This will spin all accessories faster including the idlers and I have heard that the stock ones dont last very long. Anyone else can chime in here, so correct me if I am wrong.

Just a correction... the lower pulley would be replaced with a larger diameter one for more boost, not smaller. Only the upper aux pulley assists in creating more belt wrap around the upper pulley which helps prevent belt slip. Those 4 piece idler sets are more for "Bling" factor than anything else.

there has been a couple of occasions where the stock idlers have come apart on people while driving. I have the complete 4 piece set of idlers and I love them. they look good, weigh less that stock (hey every little bit helps), and are stronger.

I run the 2.76 upper and have not needed any further fuel or maf mods and have a custom tune.

so let me get this clear, if u want a smaller uppeer, first u have to buy the pulley, then the idlers and belt(to make sure there is no belt slip), then install everything, then buy a tunner, then get a tune for the smaller pulley, then take it to a dyno to get the A/F checked?? looks like a lot of time an money....

Yup! Doing it correctly and safely the first time is always the best way to go and usually does cost a little extra. :nice:

    What price peace of mind?
