Does anyone possibly have pictures of a black and tan interior in a fox? I have the chance to pick up front and rear leather seats for reallll cheap only problem is the seats at tan. I just want to see if anyone has done that before and see how it looks.

ive only seen one and it had cloth seats. the car was filthy when i saw it so i cant really say how it looked except that it was different. if the seats are in good shape it might be worth it to buy them and hold on to them.

I don't have pics but i've seen some super clean 4 eye interiors in tan with a lot of black accents and it's my favorite color scheme even over all black. It has to be done right though.

I have an original very clean black and tan interior. No pics. What do you want to know?

PS, good luck on finding any tan interior parts. They are hard to find.

Well I originally wanted to redo my entire interior in black. But the seats were just way to expensive. Now I found a set of tan leather seats out of a 97 and just thought maybe I could dye parts of my interior black and the rest tan to go with the seats. Pretty much I just want to know what interior pieces should I do black and what pieces tan. Also is there a paint or dye I can buy that resembles the factory tan paint?

The best example i've seen was in a Zimmer, which were those Rolls Royce looking things built off Mustang unibodies. They tried to make the interior look more up scale. With a black console, LX style dash plates (the wood grain sucks) and black floor mats this would just look badass.

I think black and tan would look awesome, and wanted to this on my car forever. My plan was to get an SN95 dash and door panels though...

Personally, I think if you get the right dye, and prep it, you could do the door panels, (I would suggest 90+ ones that don't have the cloth panel on them) and dash two tone tan and black, black carpet and the rest, and tan seats and it would looke great!

How could you dye a lighter color like tan? Even over gray i don't see how you could get it lighter?

What does your interior look like now?

Post a pic and then we can decide if tan seats look good.

I would think the caramel colored tan would go over the lighter grey? Granted I have never done it, but I wonder if they have a primer? I only used the adhesion promotor, but they might sell a light colored primer???

Finally got my photobucket page sorted out. Here's pics:

Needs a few minor touches but i think if Ford had optioned this as a premium interior option it would've sold quite well. It would look badass in a black or red Mustang.

My interior is grey right now. I wanted to do all black but couldnt find black seats. I found a pair of tan leather seats and I want to do black with tan. Right now I'm thinking black carpet the tan seats but I have no idea what parts of the rest of the interior should be black or tan.

I personally can't stand tan interior. So my suggestion is a little biased.

Keep the grey interior. Plastic are cheap and plentiful if you need to replace any since it's so common. Either do new carpet, or remove and powerwash the carpet you have now.

Then track down some 99-94 dark charcoal seats front and rear. They are common and easy to find. if anything i see them more for sale then tan. Install the F&R seats and interior will look hot

Groverdill had that exact setup and it looked hot.

I have black interior. It looks nice in the photos, but you see any and all dirt and scuffs in person. I am not convinced tan seats in a black interior would look nice at all unless you had the tan dash and door panels and plastics with black carpet. My sister's IS250 has that combo and it looks good, but tan seats alone in black won't look hot IMHO.

    My vote?

Either go all black with black or dark charcoal seats...or leave the grey and find some dark charcoal or medium grey SN95 seats

    Those seats look comfy Mike...

    :D

I found some black SN95 leather seats (94-98) which to me are the most comfortable reletively easy. I could NOT find tan ones to save my life. The ones Mike posted are even more pentiful, and match the black color of the foxs pretty close. I had them in my red interior, and again when I went black.

I just enjoy the tan, two tone look.

Tan and black are defintely different and might look quite good. Just leave out the fake wood grain.........lol
