I'm having an extremely hard time deciding between black on black, and black on tan. Im planning on getting the charcoal dash. One thing I noticed that was with the tan the steering wheel clashes a little. Maybe it's just me. But if you could give me your input on the matter it would help alot. I really would prefer tan, but I'm afraid with the steering wheel and dash it would look like poop. Thanks.:)

P.S. I'm planning on getting the Premium Inetrior trim or whatever, will that make a difference with the contrast between the tan and the dashboard/steering wheel?

Black and tan is pretty sharp. If you don't mind the look the black and red is quite striking.

Black on black is the best IMO.

    Black, Black, Black

I just purchased my black '06, Pony-package Mustang last Monday. On the lot, they had two Pony-package equipped, black '06's. One with the beige interior and one with the dark charcoal (black) interior. IMHO, it was no contest. The black interior looked far better than the tan interior, especially with the interior upgrade package like mine has.

I originally wanted the two-tone black and red interior, but according to Ford's website, you cannot get the red interior in a Mustang optioned with the pony-package. You can get it in a standard V6 or GT model, but not the pony-package. Don't ask me why.

Yeah, I'm starting to lean towards black, because I keep looking at pictures of cars with the int upgrade, and the black wheel angers me.

May i ask what the california edition is? To my knowledge this is only offered in the 07's unless its some special package like the Stampede edition in Texas and Oklahoma.

You're thinking of the California Special, that's a 2007 offering and I believe they'll start with a GT platform.

I think you're correct about it being similar to a "Stampede Edition" although the 2006 California Edition is built on a V-6 platform. I was looking at a used V-6 Mustang but someone had traded this one in on a Roush Mustang; this one had 1800 miles on it, it was like brand new but without the new price. It's a beautiful car, not terribly fast but it's fast enough for me.

    :nice:
