I have a new 331 na motor that is getting oil up into the throttle body, how does this happen? I took off the piping to the throttle body and there was oil all the way back into the throttle body. When I opened up the throttle body, more oil came out. Not like out of a hose, but enough to make a mess.
Whats up with this? Any suggestions?

oil problem

I just found out from a friend who had the same Edelbrock Performer RPM ll intake on his 5.0 and he had the same problem, oil being sucked up into the throttle body, leaving a spot on the ground under the air filter. Whats up with this manifold?
Can I reduce the size of the hose from the pcv valve to the intake?
Can I re-do the whole system?

What kind of VCs are you running and do they have a baffle under the fill hole. I had issues with oil being drawn up through the tube between the oil fill and the TB when I had to remove the baffle on my stock VCs to clear my roller rockers.

If the oil is in the TB it sounds like it is being drawn up that tube not through the PCV valve. If it is being drawn through the PCV valve it will end up in the upper plenum and down the intake runners not coming out the TB.

ventilation

I'm going to try reducing the diameter of the big line from the back of the block.
The line from the oil fill goes directly to the side of the tb and its clean inside that.
That only leaves the big line from the block.
I'm hoping.
The valve covers are FMS Cobras, and they are baffled.
