Not sure If you got this answered or not. The "rear" brackets are to move the caliper further out to fit the bigger rotor. So you have to pull your axels to get the old bracket off to put the new one on.

I was not aware of this, although I had suspected that was what they were for. Didn't realize you would have to remove the axles though, ouch! Thanks for the info, I'm kinda learning this as I go.
