Broken late model hood stud replacement?

Is there any way to replace a broken hood hinge stud on a 2000 Mustang hood? I have a GT hood with a broken stud I want to install on my V6 coupe. I can't imagine that if one of the studs breaks, you throw the whole hood away?

Well you could try to drill it out. You could try to remove it with one of the screw extractors. If it does not work, what are you out of, an hour of your time.
