This is insane.He`s 53 at the time as well.

(he never took a lesson and refused to practise outside his performances)

That's cool. Bill Ward (Black Sabbath) is also an amazing drummer at his age! He was young in his prime of course, but he's still got it!

Bill Ward is one of my favourite rock drummers by far,but Buddy Rich is on another planet.
His speed and dexterity is unreal.Just watch his left hand for one thing.

The man could pull off one handed rolls with ease.

Neil Peart is on record saying Buddy Rich is #1,and capable of pulling things off that just aren`t humanley possible for the rest of us.

I remember watching Buddy on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson back in the 70's.Carson was a drummer as well.
