I was in the same boat as you in August, I wanted to choose either a brand new 2011 V6 or an older GT. Now, if you like the look of the 2010-2011, you should get the 2011 V6, since you get the best of both worlds. Equivalent power, fuel economy, looks, etc...
I instead found a great 2008 GT/CS in Grabber Orange for much cheaper(GTs typically have the bells and whitles such as leather seats). Since I prefer the look of the 2005-2009 versus the new model and I love the color.
I wanted a drive around car that looked great, also the sound of a V8 is just amazing and a GT is always an icon, not to bash the V6 but the 2005-2010 were so bad for performance that it tarnishes the brand a bit.
