Well I pulled the Eaton off this morning to make room for the new Whipple. It was very straight forward. Here's how it went. First I pulled the belt off. Then I unhooked the battery and just pulled it out. Next I unhooked the Mass Air and tube from the Throttle Body and JLT CAI. Then I jacked the car up and drained the IC fluid then hooked the HE hose back up. Back up top I pulled off the IAC and throttle cable. Then on to the other side to unhook the plugs and vacuum lines. Then I pulled off the Fuel Rail. Next was the Elbow and some more vacuum lines. Then I unbolted the intake and blower and IC manifold and pulled it off. I also put towels down each port to keep stuff out. Here it is along with the intake. You can see it needs to be cleaned up. I also marked everything and put them into Ziplock bags. Oh and one of the garage and car. Now its off to pick up some supplies and get something to eat.
Great pics Kevin. I'm looking forward to the next installment. After being again reminded of how hot your ride is (like the ugly girl who hangs out with good lookers), I feel the need to go tinker. Good luck with the rest of it. I know it'll be a piece of cake for ya.
Thats one ride I wouldnt mind getting beaten by, because I could check out that a** for hoooouuurs...
Wow...that things so clean, it almost makes it a shame to take it apart. I hope while you've got it apart, you're going to give the intercooler core and lower intake a good cleaning with some degreaser to get the remnants of any oil and engine sludge off of the fins. That can seriously inhibit your coolers ability to lower the air charge temps. Now might be a good time to install an oil separator as well.
Thanks man. 18-19 PSI. Stock lower and 2.75 upper. I put in 60lb injectors and I am using an SCT XCal 2 with a custom tune. 2.3. Will do. Check this out for the rest of the install. http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=705322 And I already have an oil separator. Here's how it look as of now.
