So do our Mustangs have a provision for a cabin air filter? I took apart my 03 Focus and sure enough it had the slot for one, the owners manual didnt say a thing about it. I put the cabin air filter in the Focus 2 years ago, pulled it out today, ugh, it looked like ass. My Lincoln owners manual said to change it every three years on the Continental we used to own. It sure keeps the dust and pollen out of the interior. Unless anyone knows for sure Im going to take the cowl apart as soon as I have the time, I sure want one if it can be fitted.

The '05 Mustang has a cabin air filter already. It is located under the cowl cover on the passanger side.

Page 31 of the 2005 Mustang owner manual does say the car has a cabin air filter and that it came with one, I have never checked mine.

How do you check it and how often do you change it? Can you get a filter from some place other than Ford and at a reasonable price?

the funny thing is, it says to see the scheduled maintenance guide, but there is no mention of a cabin air filter in the guide.

I replaced mine at 15,000 mile; I wouldn't recommend going farther than that if you want to maintain that new car smell..

Our Vette was parked in our daughter's garage for a couple of months. Rats, not mice, made a home under the hood in a hidden place. Rats urinate in their nest to mark it as theirs. Never did quite get the smell out of that car no matter what we did.
