Who would consider a Camaro or a Firebird? In my newest issue of Muscle Machines they speak of possibly even Firebird along with a v6 base model Camaro. It also states it would be needed to produce 100 thousand units to make it worth while.
It also states possible plans of GM going to all rear wheel drive only in a few years.
I see a lot of Camaros on the road these days too.

My sons first car was a 94 camaro. Beautiful body style, but it was a really crappy car. But I guess because it was his first car, he is going to buy one of the new ones as soon as they hit the market.
I really like the new mustangs myself, but maybe that is because my first car was a 69 mach one.

I wouldn't consider the camero, but WOULD look at the bird if they did a good retro on it.

    I agree

You know I agree. That is part of the reason I am buying a new Mustang. I love the retro look. The camero would be the same issue.

I checked-out that video of the Concept Camaro driving in a mini car show. I think that the New Camaro looks Awesome!!! :nice: Although I'm not a fan of its exhaust; it's too raspy for me. I like deeper tones.
I would be more inclined to buy a new Firebird if one was offered with a nice retro-body. I've always been a fan of the Firebirds, but I've always LOVED the MUSTANGS!!! :SNSign:

Definitely not a camaro :puke: - but t/a or firebird or something along those lines. Maybe a new WS-6. I'd consider. But I think Id rather have the Challenger. I like mercedes suspension.

I saw an artist's rendition of the new Camaro, only he made it a Firebird concept instead. The grill on that thing looks much better as a Firebird than it does as a Camaro.

It seems as tho the front wheel drive was the advantage for mpg ratings before but now that is not the case anymore. we'll have to wait and see. mind u it is just rumor or hear say so don't hold me to it. lol :)

I'd get the new Cougar when it comes out. If it comes out. I'll admire GM products from afar.

GM said there wouldn't be a Firebird revival, only the GTO.

Pontiac is rummored to be making the switch to RWD over the next couple of years, but that leaves the question of what to do with the G6? I don't think the whole corporation will be making the switch though.

As for the Camaro, if it was priced similar to the Mustang and offered more features than the purchase would be a no brainer for me.

Now a couple of weeks ago a guy was even showing pictures of his ugly ass GTO and all I did was ask a few times "where am I?" I was told by a moderator to let it go.

    I'm with you though!

Sorry, but most of us on these boards are Ford guys. I've never owned anything but Fords (and Porsche & Audi), and wouldn't consider a Dodge-Benz or Chevy if it came with free gas for life! The fact that the Mustang is still being built, while the Camaro and Dodge aren't, is telling.

I'm not here to start any type of argument about Ford for life or I bleed blue in the face... blah blah blah. we are all online because of the Mustang and like to talk about performance, learn about how to's, or even check out some of the competition. Just because it doesn't have a Ford emblom on it doesn't make it slow or a lesser car. We all know what the LS series of engines are capable of, and that alone should speak for itself.

This is a Mustang Forum and most of us here like to compare whats "out there" with what we have as well as whats becoming available with other companys. We keep each other informed, we all like "good cars" and we all like performance cars. It is only natural to compare Brand A with Brand B. Just my .02:hail2:

I just don't care for the new look of the Camaro. I think it's too blocky and it just looks bloated to me. Granted the new Stang is a fairly heavy car, but it doesn't look fat to me like the new Camaro does. I do like the way Challenger looks.

Oh well, I'm planning to order a GT next month, so take my opinion for what little it's worth. :rlaugh:
