Can I fit a 235 55 16 on a 16x7 rim? Stock tire is 205 55 16

The stock size on 16 x 7 Pony wheels is 225/55. 235's will fit just fine.

Min rim width is 6.5 max rim width is 8.5. Thats on a Nitto 450.

Yes. I had 245-45-R16 Goodyear GSC's on the rear of my old 92GT. With 225-50-R16 Goodyear RS-A's on the front that car had an awesome stance.

when i bought my coupe it had crappy old eagle gt -2's in 235/55/16's they are a tll tire and when i went to 245/50's the car looked like it was lowered. phil

Agreed. I was running 245's all the way around on my 16" wheels. The sidewalls didn't appear to bulge too badly, but I don't think I would've gone any wider on my stock wheels.
