My '00 Mustang died at 119,000 give or take a few. Motor runs fine but the auto transmission that was in it finally gave way. I never serviced the tranny so that's probably why. Everytime I got a chance to service the thing, I had money issues. So now I have a 03 Mustang with 34,000 miles on it. To bad it's bone stock and the car I had produced a lot more power. I feel like I'm driving a honda now with a Ford emblem on it. Hopefully soon I'll be getting a better job and add on some exhaust and a supercharger since I have drafting and tons of engineering down. Only a few more years and I'm a mechanical engineer! w00t!

Buying another stang is cheaper than replacing the tranny? Am I missing something?

And to be a Mechanic in training and never service your vehicles....now thats ironic.

When an automatic transmission blows, it's time for a manual transmission swap. Unless you're Paris Hilton and want an automatic transmission in your sports car. ;)
