Hey all, Does anyone know of a place that would sell actual Carbon Fiber replacement pieces as opposed to the 3m carbon fiber dash kits?? Although I like the dash kits, I think they look cheap and would just rather replace the existing plastic parts with real Carbon Fiber.
Tim S of PFracing.com used to make carbon fiber for Saleen's, but he has been out of the loop for sometime now.
You can make your own, laminating carbon fiber over the factory pieces. It isn't too hard, looks good, but won't save you any weight.
My dash vents on my explorer are done by phoienix imaging. They look very good. Tommy are your dash vents CF?
I have a 5 piece kit. My friends company makes them(they make the oe lincoln navi/ aviator interior) Top notch quality. Pm me if your intrested(Its not cheap1$$$) click on my garage for a clear version In fact Saleen was going to use the kit for the 99 model year but it was too expensive per unit, so they went with their stick on kit. It basically Stock with a CF laminate, and 8 coats of clear, but their is paint work too so its just not cf(wait for pics)
I saw a Cobra with phoenix-image stuff in the motor bay & interior. You send them the pieces and they process over it. It looked real good.
