changing rear end fluid

how much am i gonna need? i searched but got mixed answers

i know im gonna need 75-140 gear oil but is it 2 or 3 qts?

also i have a rear end girdle cover on there if that makes a difference

is there a fill hole like the trans where i just fill er up untill it comes out?

Yeah, it's about two quarts, but you will also need the special friction modifier from Ford.

The fill plug is at the front of the rear end "pumpkin" on the driver's side, but on my car (at least) the dogbone damper gets in the way, so I find it is easier to remove the passenger side axle vent (15mm wrench), hook up a gear oil pump from Wally World, and done ! You may like the smell of gear oil in the morning, but I really doubt it ! good luck.
