All right, I bought one of those chips that hooks up in the IAT sensor. I have an '01 V6. As I was looking at the wiring diagram I noticed the IAT is wired into my MAF. Can I splice into the wire to the IAT, and the signal return line? The IAT and the MAF share the same return wire. Will this affect anything. Or should I just shoot myself in the foot for being stupid?

Throw it away. They give power, but the effects are detrimental to the health of your engine.

Those resistors are the modern equivalent of snake oil
