Hey guys, I tried cleaning the inside of my windshield and other windows with a glass cleaning wipe and it did a sucky job, leaving very annoying streaks. What do you guys suggest for cleaning the inside of the windows without streaks?
I highly recommend Invisible Glass. The stuff is awesome. Can find it online, look for Stoner Products. Also carried at Target, etc.
For a couple years I tried every kind of cleaner and I always had streaks show up after a couple weeks. The problem was not the cleaners that I was using, but the rags/towels. Then I met a gentleman who owned a detail shop and he told me to use wadded-up newspaper instead of paper or cotton towels. That did the trick. The newspaper is ever so abrasive that it actually polishes the window when it cleans. Invisible Glass + newspaper =
The problem is you need to use just a tad of detergent on your window towels in the washer, not the regular amount you would use on other garments. At my old shop we used soft water, and a 1/2 a protein powder sized scooper for the detergent.
I use a wad of paper towels soaked in blue windshield washer fluid to wipe down the interior window surfaces. Then I use another wad of dry towels to dry it. Works great and the surface stays clean for a good amount of time. I like to use those blue gas station towels. -Jason
Word up, I fought with windows for a long long while until I got this a few years ago. I typically use it with a micro fibre towel or those blue shop towels.
Yep, newsprint works awesome! That's all I ever use. Well, that and a glass cleaning fluid, of course - Jeff
