Hey all,

My brother and I are about done changing his clutch out on his '00 GT. I was just wondering if the stock adjuster thingy needs to be messed with. The old clutch had 156k miles on it; practically down to the rivets. With the stock quadrant adjusted to that, I am a bit concerned that this brand new clutch is going to throw the adjustment off. Every search thread I read about has threads on how to adjust the clutch to take slack UP, not feed it back in.

What do I do?

TIA

every time i replaced a clutch on a mustang without any kind of clutch adjuster the pedal went back to normal..if anything the pedal would be a little closer to the floor but as the clutch broke in it would get a little further out...no problems though

if your that worried about it, just go buy a firewall adjuster...theyre cheap by themselves
