How can I align my v8 clutch with my 4 cylinder transmission? I picked up a pilot bearing that fits but the hole in the center is for the 4 cylinder input shaft and the alignment tool fits the hole for the v8. I do not know what to do. Can someone help please?
Machine down the tip? Or perhaps clutch alignment tool for the car that the pilor bearing came from (deisel ranger I think) Or, just eyeball it while someone holds the clutch pedal in, then insert the trans in, get it to the last part where the input shaft goes into the pilot bearing, then have your friend press the clutch in and wiggle the trans in place and hope you get lucky.
