Console Door Spring Tech - CJ Pony Parts, Inc.
CJ shows the wiring for the ground and the hot for the console light socket routed through the holes that screw the console to the floor bracket for the front of the console.
That does not seem right to me sharing a mounting hole with hot and ground wire routing.
I believe the socket gets installed so the pigtail is contacted by the console door and the light goes on when the door is open and completes the circuit. Simple enough.
Anyone want to weigh in on the wire routing? Is the green "hot" supposed to even be inside the compartment and where would the ground poke thru?
