Control arms, problem

I got some lowers from ebay. I noticed when i put them on there was some slack in the bolt and the metal sleeve thats in the bushings. I put them on anyways. Theres a popping sound when i take off from a stop or hit a gear fairly hard. Any other ideas....? Guess i got screwed

He said they were d & d's. They are black tubular and chrome moly.

got the right bolts?
really should nt matter if they are tight
is the sleeve tight in the rubber part?

I used my factory bolts. Yeah, the sleeve is tight in the bushing. But there is slack around the metal and the factory bolt.

could maybe have to use bigger bolts
try to tighten them more first
i got d&d lowers also
there is some noise associated with them

like a clunking noise? It seems a little loud.

I replaced mine with Ford original equipment recently and they make a similar noise. The install was done by a Mustang shop locally but I still suspect that the arms weren't loaded when they were installed. They should have the car weight on them before being tightened. The noise was annoying at first but it doesn't affect handling as far as I can tell. And it seems minor in comparison to all the other noises in my car but I still might try to fix it someday.
