WOW! I went searching for a new Mustang this morning and all I found were convertibles! It seemed finding a coupe very difficult! Out of two large dealerships, I saw 2 coupes about about 10 covertibles! The majority of the convertibles are V6's but there were about 4 GT convertibles. One dealer kept pushing and pushing me to get this one car and the guy wouldnt understand "I DIDNT WANT THAT ONE!" Then he brought me to his sales manager and we were sitting down ready to order one actually! I then asked politely if he would honnor any plans and he responded by saying "Ford is not allowing any dealer to sell the Mustang under any plan available" I then whipped out my flag out and said "Well buddy your waisting your time trying to sell me a car because I know I can get it somewhere else. GOODBYE!" and stormed out the door. OH this was the same dealer that had an "market adjustment" of $5,000 on a V6 Convertible Mustang. It brought the selling price to a little over $33,000... OUTRAGEOUS considering i went to another dealer that would sell a GT Convertible for $33,000 with all the bells and whistles attached. Once again I raised the flag on that dealer with the "market adjustment". Oh by the way it was "Mel Hamilton Ford" in Wichita Kansas. RIP OFF!
Last year when I was looking for my Mustang I went to mel hamilton ford and they tried to sell me a 00 mustang GT (premium) for 16,995. It was on their web site for 13,900, but the dealership didnt know anything about it.... I went someplace else....
