So I've had the corbeau cr1 seats for about 2 years now.

They're great except for the lumbar support area which is a couple of metal springs or something and they dig into my spine. Its not so bad over a few minute drive, but it kills my back on long hauls. And I usually have the zig-zag pattern of the spring imprinted on my back.

Has anyone done any fab work to their seats to get rid of these crappy springs?

I was thinking about tearing the cover off and adding some small braces to the back and finding someplace to cut me out a high density foam back piece.

I love my corbeau gts2 seats no complaints. Instead of tearing into those seats why dont you just sell them and pick up a new set of seats?

I had CR-1's, and used a airbag lumbar support.. Worked awesome.

Did it come with the air bag or did you put it in? If you put it in, could you tell me where you picked it up?

I'd prefer to keep the Cr1s because I love the style and they fit perfect to my narrow ass. Its just this lame ass lumbar support that's killing my back. Something that should be a very easy fix. I like the airbag idea alot more than the foam idea.
