who has cross drilled rotors???? has anyone heard anything about the ones on ebay??? any pics???? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2476192562&category=33564 These would look really good, but i have no clue how good they are and how they will do against rust.
also, i have heard that baer makes a brake kit, but i don't really know what it comes with. anyways, i've heard that it is on;y like $300-400. That wouldn't be bad. p.s. i don't even need new brakes, this is just for looks!!
I have PowerStop cross drilled rotors...not much better except that brake fade is almost non-existant...Bigger rotors would definitely help out tho...I've never seen a Baer kit for $300-$400, usually they're around $700 and up PIC
I have crossdrilled and slotted rotors that I bought off ebay from a company called vbrakes. They were OEM size, but after I put them on and they were too big I just had them machined down and now they work no problem, and look awesome. I attached a pic, I hope it works, but if it doesnt, trust me when I say that my rotors are now shinier than my rims lol.
that is an awesome site. I would love the red cobra cross drilled kit, but its like $1400. Thats alot of cash. Which rotors did you get??? These would come out to $380 for four rotors. the ones on ebay are 140. they must be junk. also, i am guessing that in order to use the larger cobra rotors, you need cobra calipers????
Sorry I don't have pics yet, but I have cross-drilled rotors in the front. People will tell you that they develop little cracks around the holes but I haven't had any problems out of mine. They look cool also! But I want my car to stop faster...I don't care about looks that much. I want the 13" Cobra brake kit pretty badly but I hate to blow $399 just on a brake kit for the fronts...that would be $800 for front and rear! More than I want to spend on brakes. But yeah, I know ya gotta pay to play.
nice, i can't wait til i could afford some new brakes, i might just get some slotted and cross drilled rotors with the cobra calipers. i heard that cross drilled rortors wear down quicker, is that true?
I had these on my car for 20K miles and are still in great shape with same pads I put on when I installed these, only about ~25-35% wear. They are made by Race Concepts I don't need them anymore and will let them go for $80 if you want them.
In summit they have the Power Stop cross drilled rotors from autospecialty and they are the oem size $70 for the rear and $90 for the fronts thats each.
Cant post pic's of my brakes, but I have 13" front cross drilled rotors and they are great. 2 years old and no cracks, daily driver.
