I was wondering if I cut one coil spring on the front and rear springs on the stock 01 GT springs will it lower it pretty good and will it ride rough? Also will my car bounce and ride like crap? Some guy on a svt forum did it with his 03 cobra lowered it really nice and said it still rode like stock. What do you guys think thanks

everytime i've seen it done it works just fine as long as you do no more than a coil and 1/2.. it will ride the exact same as stock, however the total travel of the spring will obvously be less, wich would make it easier to bottom your car out over sharp bumps etc.. but really unless you drive like an idiot you should be fine.. a friend of mine cut his "c" springs on his 2000 GT and even it rides fine, and its LOW!
