well damn..................... i called the insurance company today, whose rates were going to be the deciding factor on whether i get a 3.8 or a 4.6..... and all i have to say is damn. thats all.... If i get a 2000 6 it will end up being 730 every 6 month, and if i get a 98 gt it will end up being 1018. what the hell, i thought it might be a little less since it was a little older? hahahahaa..... NO! anyway, i guess it will be ok after all my friend in VA has a 3.8 02 mustang blue, (omg blue is awesome) and hell when i rode in it, ha it seemed fast enough for me. we'll see when i get one.... i do plan however to install a raptor shift light and a schroth rallye 4 harness. (pulls string) the mom says..... "that's ****ing ridiculous, you don't need that crap." btw, who lives in Indiana? and near indianapolis?
good idea, but there won't be anything done to this one. ill wait till i get another preferably a gt and then maybe. gotta wait for the steady income though
That is the best rate i have ever heard!!!! I am a 18 year old kid living in insurance HELL New Jersey and i am under my parents plan on the best insurance company in Nj and it is 2500 dollars a year for a 2000 v6 . Count your blessings.
well 77 sleeper you're over 25 and get the nice insurance rate cuts lol but oh yeah a v6 vert runs same insurance as a GT coupe....which I didn't realize when I bought the vert....but I would still choose a v6 vert over a GT coupe...I really love it.
You guys have it pretty easy compared to me.....i pay 4,ooo a year on insurance...its pretty crazy, but its worth it. I'm thinking about getting a gsxr 600 and talking my car off its policy.
you still got it easy, man. i had to pay 225/mo for my V6 when i was living in california... and btw, your moms right. you don't need all that crap... especially not on a six.
I pay about $2,300 a year on a 97 v6.... just cause I'm 16... I work for insurance and there is hope out there y'all.... once you hit about 30 and have a CLEAN RECORD... it gets so easy.. until then stick with the 6 mod it out and don't tell the insurance company... lol
Heheh ive got the cure all for the insurance blues! Join the military. Im currently Insuring a 95GT, 97 mazda pickup, 97 Escort, And a 2003 R6. For around $1600 a year. Thats on the military only offered insurance company. With 1 point left to spare on my license before they jack that from me like a Set of 20's in the bronx
oh yeah so i finally got the car, the insurance is 840 per 6 months if it stays at home while i'm at school, 1400 if it comes to school (i don't think that is going to happen, next door neighbor also a stang owner and not a friend of mine got his tires slashed and a streetsweeper side swiped his car LOL. also people around here Indianapolis, aren't trying to steal mustangs anymore, they just break in and steal the air bags and sell them.) so for right now 140 per month the firend in virginia with the blue stang (got it in 2002) has gotten 3 speeding tickets one for 67 in a 30. so his is 350 a month now? i think. his is a v6 also. he is 21.
All of us sub-25-year-olds are screwed when it comes to insurance. Mine went from $120 a month to $75 when I got married and thats just liability. If I were to get a GT I had to pay on and full coverage.......
sux for all of ya'll i own a 2000 v6 vert in mobile, al, clean record, 21, good student discount and i only pay 100 dollars a month
mines $2900 year, 18, clean record, on my partents plan-03 v6 when i drove the 66 stang it was $900 a year now that's off the insurance and is having the suspension replaced. insurance sucks
I pay 1800 every 6 months for my 03 Dodge Ram Hemi, 2004 GT, and 88 5.0. Ahhh, its great to have tits I'm also 22 years old, have a great job, and 12 pts on my record.
I pay $100 a month on a 2000 v6 coupe. I'm 18 and in Florida, good student, clean record, and on my parents insurance. I have a question, is there an introductions forums or thread? I'm new here...
Yeah I'm 21 in VA, clean record and I pay $240 a month on my parents plan. The only reason it's so much is because my dad has the highest coverage you can get with USAA, and only a $500 deductible, so it's not too bad.
