I just got back from 3 days at Meguiars HQ in California. I was very fortunate to have been invited to attend. There was a group of 7 of us.
Meguiars does hold 1day clinics pretty much every weekend. If you ever get a chance to attend I would do it, they are well worth the effort to get there.
Day1 we toured Jay Leno's garage. Unfortunately he wasn't there. He has cameras in the garage so he can keep tabs on the place from home and he called while we were there. Wish I had pictures but, Jay does not like pictures taken in his garage. After that we went to Petersen's Automotive Museum. Saw a lot of cool cars that day.
Day2 We had a condensed version of their 3 day professional class with Mike Pennington who is in charge of training. We learned a lot about the history of Meguiars as well as the theory behind the products and how to use them. We also had a visit by one of the chemists and Barry Meguiar himself. We also got a sneak peak at the new detailer line.
Day3 Autopia Detail Day at Meguiars. There were about 30 of use there. Got to meet a lot of people and put faces to the avatars.
Anyway, there are a couple of good writeups already so I won't try and reinvent the wheel here.
It was a lot of fun and I just can't thank Mike and Lynn Phillips enough for inviting me!
