I found my dad's Meguiar's buffer (made by porter cable) and am going to use it on the pony this weekend. I've got Meguiar's #83 cleaner/polisher to reduce some of the swirls, they really aren't too bad. I was thinking of then using NXT twice, and trying a carnauba over it. Will the NXT go on easily after using the #83, or will there be bonding issues? Of course I'll have plenty of pics from the process :nice:

Takes a few hours, it's worth it to take your time rather than rush it.

Putting multiple layers of NXT won't really help, it won't hurt, but it won't do anything more than waste wax. The only thing that actually helps by putting on more than one coat is Zaino. By the way, Zaino isn't really a wax but I believe is considered a "sealant".

Anyway, enjoy the time spent with your pony and post pics when done!!

I know more than one layer of NXT won't do much good, I just do it in a few areas that are more prone to wear and tear to make sure I have covered them completely. I think I might stop by Harley Davidson today and get some S100 to put over it.

As far as layering NXT you should do it to ensure full coverage. Working with light colors it makes it easy to mis spots. Also NXT being a sealant needs time to fully cure, most sealant need at least 12hrs to cure. So layering one right after the other is counter productive. Go to meguiresonline.com and search there forums for cure times on NXT.
