So.. I posted this question on TF before it gets down.. so.. still wondering if Detroit headgasket is still avalaible.. Someone wrote that it is now named differently..

Anybody know this "new" name? Or have any headGasket to suggest for my 2.3T block. I'm not totally sure that the deck if 100% flat.. it looks like, but still not sure..

    Maybe fel-pro 8993 (stock replacement) I think?

I'll be running around 15lbs of boost, and I prefer see a blown HG than a melted piston..

    thanks

Just put a straight edge on the deck and see if it's flat or not. You can't expect to not blow headgaskets with a warped deck no matter what gasket you use.

Detroit is now Corteco. I used one of their gaskets but they are hard to find. They don't sell direct, only through distributors.
