    If anyone does those pieces AND continues it all the way across to the area above the glove box door, please post photos and a How to Do It. I am very interested in how that looks and the difficulty in getting the leather to stay in place.

    stan, head to a local upholstry shop and ask some questions. It can be done by a good shop without any issues. i am fortunate enough to have connections with two upholstery shop owners. while i have not inquired about the portion above the glovebox, i have about other custom pieces for S197s, and all have been easy tasks to finish. i have also discussed future plans for some custom work, and they have not been scared by any ideas i can come up with.
