My car has 4 catalynic converters... i think thats alittle much, would it help in performance, and sound better if i took 2, or all 4 off?

yes it would. yes its illegal. yes you will need to throw in a couple dummy o2 sensors so your computer doesnt flip. no im not condoning it. for legality reasons.

it would help performance but won't help the sound. I'd keep the cats......wish I had my cats back.......sounds like rice at anything about 3000 rpms

on my deceased 99 my setup was jba shorty exhaust manifolds, gutted short cats, 2 chamber glasspacks in place of the long cats, then custom bent to dual side exhaust. had the dummy o2 sensor mounts. no ricer sound there at all, could hear me coming 1/2 mile away was always mistaken for a cobra :D , i miss it dearly.

ive seen dynos where the loss of cats cost hp.... so its pretty much worthless all you really get is much more annoying sound to listen at....

if you had some real mods it would help alot more but a stock motor does not need any better flow from the exhaust.
