Both my cars see redline almost daily, especially my mustang. Running it to redline isnt really that harmful. Powershifting, clutch dumps, missed shifts, and over-revving are alot tougher on the drivetrain components than a nice run up the tach.
I drive my mustang like it wants to be driven, hard. I'm nicer to my Acura because its more expensive to fix & is my DD. I dont feel bad beating on the stang because it can take it, and if something breaks I can still get to work.
