    Hey,
I'm starting to get really tired of leaning across my console when i'm driving. I remeber reading a post about taking out the frame in the seat and re-welding it but how do you get to the frame. Also what other car seats could i just swap in from other cars.
    Thanks

unzip the bottom of the upper fabric, remove the headrest, then remove the seat cover. make sure everything is nice and square, retack the tack welds, then i ran a bead all the way around where the metal met

instead of rewelding it it is easier to drill it and put 2or3 bolts with self locking nuts on them.l find this is better cus the welds always seem to rebreak

How do you get the headrest off?

    Alright,
Got back from college yesterday and I took a look at the seat and couldn't figure out how to get the headrest off. I have attached a picture of the seat and then a picture of the base of the headrest. On the bottom of the seat the front clips to the back. Just need to figure how to pull the headrest off. Then I guess I just lift the seat cover from the top since I saw two small bars on either side of the seat attached to the foam.
    Thanks again.

what i would do is just go to the junkyard and find some new seats i got me a set of seats out of a xr-7 and painted them to match and i love them it wasent hard to do all i did was change the seat tracks. you could also get seats out of newer stangs and ive even seen people use seats fro honda preluds and eclipses (i dont think i spelled those right) on the those seats i think they justdrilled new holes and put there seats in. the seats i got would have looked good in your car they were blue and gray but i painted them red.
