My gps screens are comming up but no maps, the Ecomm is working and so is the voice control? Maybe ISKWEZM would know this one? other than that everything works changer, reverse camera, dvd
is the satelite picking up the antenae?Maybe it has to be recalibrated?Do you have disc that is always being read or do you load it once?
The disc is always bieng read, it needs to be in the changer @ all times, it has a RCA cable, or atleast thats what it looked like, it came with a 2ft cord and i just used a normal RCA lead b/c i have the changer in the trunk. The ecomm works b/c i had to call up a company and get the source code that you put in w./ your voice. Maybe the RCA is my problem could it be a special cable, it looks like an rca and it the same size. I took the sattalite reciever out and stuck it on my roof but still no maps, it did come up with a directional arrow, maybe i just have to read into further, hmm GPS (Giving People Strokes) thanks for the help ISk
yes there is a reset, and yes the cable looks like an rca cable, when i get home tonight ill take pics of the whole setup heres on of the dash it wont help me illustrate anything but at lest you'll see which HU i have. I also found that 1/2 din dvd/mp3/cd its pretty nice for 130 bucks. do you think the GPS is working and the map is my prob. i thought of that b/c the commander will ask me to put in an address and everything just no map, ARRR
here's the pics these are the screens im seeing. arrgg let me know if you have any idea thanks again.
the cable looks just like a video feed im guessing.im thinking its not picking up the satelite signal. i know the Alpines, when i used to install them, the cursor would come up and the map would load a few seconds later
Hey thanks maybe ill try hooking it up but thats what i thought as well, the funny thing is i only cruse my stang but i want it to work for the theory you know. So im going to rig it up do some tests and then ill break down and call for help Much appriciated iSK....
I also worked for a while for a distrabution company in the chi. area doing intalls on there "advertising cars" (aka there own cars). I love all these gadgets, and to think they all run on 12v dc. amazing.
