Okay so I just spent an hour and a half going through every page of pics posted, and I know I have seen it before. I bought 67' Ford, and Mustang emblams for the hood and trunk, but Im not sure if Im gonna like it or not on mine. I was wondering if anyone that has done it could post pictures on what theirs looks like and any steps they took to do it well and make oit look good.

Also wanting to powdercoat or black out my GT emblams and pony.. Whats the best way to do this?

    Thanks!

may want to edit this thread so it's spelled emblem, not trying to be a jerk but it looks closer to embalm and i was excited for a very interesting thread (hint: Mozilla Firefox has a spellchecker built in)

ok so moving on to helpful:
check out americanmuscle.com's website, they have "customer image" links with most of their products.
your best off just buying new dark or black emblems, many places (also americanmuscle for one) have them.

Oh and Americanmuscle has no pics of the emblems, they dont sell them there when it comes to the67' mustang letters, and they only sell the pony in black.

I had mine spaced furthere apart (I believe they were about 3.5" on center). They've been off the car since last December and now I keep flipping back and forth if I should put them back on or not:shrug:

Did you paint your tail light frames or is that an added piece? Looks great :nice:

They look good on there but I think with the way your car looks now you should paint them black instead of the chrome. Especially with your black gas cap back there replacing the chrome GT emblem.

Yeah I like the way it looks but Im thinking of getting the side GT emblem and the running pony emblem in black so I was thinking of painting them before I do it, but that kind of defeats the purpose of the 67 look. Still debating, I have them so its just a matter of time before I put them on. Now when you took yours off did it mess up the paint or anything? Thats my biggest worry is screwing the paint up if I dont liek it.

You won't mess up your paint as long as you are careful in removing them. It's put on with double sided adhesive and is no different than removing a factory emblem or other trim/parts:nice:

Casey, I guess I could paint them black and hold them up there to see how they'd look...could they be anodized???????????????:D

Anodizing only works with Aluminum as far as I know, they probably would need to be "black chromed" if not painted.
