So I'm building up the engine for a power adder(700-800rwhp) later and this is what i have bought so far:
Manley h-beam rods with arp hardware, diamond pistons, steel cobra crank, fel-pro head gaskets, arp head studs, dual gt40 fuel pumps, 62lb injectors.

I want to do a fuel rail kit but not sure which one to go with. Also thinking about new motor mounts since i will have the engine out. Any experience with these?

Also is there anything im missing or that you guys recommend?(already have plans for gauges, and clutch)

    Thanks!:nice:

Don't forget the rest of the drivetrain---what transmission are you going with? Rear suspension?

As far as the engine, what kind of boost are you looking at to get to 800rwhp? Supercharger, turbo, other? From what I have seen, on any supercharger your looking at around 25psi. When you go that high, the head gasket is the weak link. Get the best race head gasket you can get. Diamond/CP/JE pistons are great choices in my opinion, a good h beam rod, cobra crank. The fuel system your going with is good, but I am not sure if 62lb injectors are going to do it for 800rwhp. I have 60lb injectors and closing in on 600rwhp----but 200 more is alot.

Lastly, 800rwhp is good for low 9 second ets. Is that what you want? If you were to race that at the track, are you aware of all of the safety equipment you would need (in order to race legally, that is)? Just some thoughts.

No more than 20lbs of boost so wherever than gets me def dont want more than 800rwhp. Im thinking i will be around 650-750rwhp which is fine. Not really going for a track car. Most likely going with the procharger F1a. Whats the limit of the stock transmission? Thanks for the help.

I have no first hand experience with the limits of the stock manual trans and clutch. My experience is with the auto. Possibly someone else can jump in and help you out with that.

I know with the 3.4 whipple, a friend of mine has already dyno'd at 719rwhp with 20psi. You will be in good hands with the F1A as far as power, not sure about street manners though. My friend with the 3.4 whipple drives it everywhere.
