last nite i was out in my mustang and it was missing real bad. today i just changed my plugs and it got better it only breaks up to about 3000rpms after that runs perfect. Im thinking fuel filter or dirty injector. i doubt im down on compression because it wouldnt clear up

A dirty fuel filter would make it starve up top when demand is greatest. New plug wires, cap and rotor would probably do wonders if they have been on there a while. Of course change the fuel filter too if you think it needs it. In the end it all adds up to better performance !
