Alright, My friend has a 2003 Mustang V6. hes basically looking for a v8 engine swap. What do you guys recommend? And where on the Internet can he find one? etc... Also...he doesnt want another car, he wants to keep his. Hes already redone the entire suspension and hes got some brembo brakes too... Thanks

I don't know of any company that sells swap kits (yet). Advise your friend to look into getting a wrecked 99+ gt that has been side swiped or rear ended. And change out all the necessary parts.

Grammar will get him further in life than without it ;)

The easiest way to do it, is to get a donor car. The best reason for it, is because the donor car has every part you need. And there is more parts than just the engine, tranny, harness and rearend that you will be needing. And you get to see how and where the parts goes on the car.

I would definitely agree that you need a donor car. When I swapped the 5 Liter in my 95 It would have taken a ton of money to get all the parts. Usually if you check craigslist you will find decent cars that were wrecked that the owner wants to sell for cheap. Thats how i found my swap car...it had a little front end damage and a couple wires were cut on the harness and thats all. It cost me 800 and over all i was probably in it 1200 after it was all swapped including the cost of the car. all of the parts would have cost me over 2000 easily if i bought it part by part. find a swap car. its the only way to go.
