I like my Mac system, it sounds like it wants to rape something, but that could be because of my raspier-sounding x-pipe. I don't like that it drones ALOT, but I got used to it.

you could always just change the mufflers if you don't want to lay down on an entire catback.

the H pipe and headers are the biggest restriction on the exhaust, so though you may pick up 3-5hp, you won't feel it.

It's more a matter of auditory aesthetics.

People will keep telling you to do gears until you finally do them ;)

so don't drop 300 on a catback....just go to the muffler shop and have them replace your mufflers with straight pipe. then weld on some 3 inch stainless tips. that's what i did, it only cost me like $100 total and it sounded MEAN

what mac system do you have, and is your xpipe catted or o/r?

Its catted, and the car is still obnoxiously loud, but thats how I like it.
My Mac system is a few years old (and rusting), but I thought the mufflers were all the same. Mine is non-stainless except for the tailpipes, and is essentially like the second one in the list (TK9495). I'd highly, highly recommend getting a fully stainless system if it is at all possible with the budget.

Just go the cheap route like I did and have some mufflers welded in. My system consists of stock headers, Mac offroad H and some muffler shop turbo mufflers and it sounds amazing. It cost me about 100 bucks for the mufflers and to have them welded in.

might as well just order a set... considering that i already have headers annd an h pipe i kinda just want to finish it off and be done with the exhaust you know.... im thinking about the flowmaster set up... i offereed up to 245 on the mac set up and got declined... i really dont wanna pay more then 300 shipped.... because i wanna pick up a shift boot and a nice knob....
