I just pulled off my ****master 2 chambers and will end up with either a SLP or Magnaflow cat-back on my '04....however...in the meantime, I ran staight-pipes where the mufflers were and it's still not as mean sounding as my 01 was with the flowmasters. What the F***? The exhaust manifold back is identical or am I wrong?
I dunno man, mine sounded pretty bad with just my Bassani cat back- Before adding the X-pipe. Now it sounds very wicked, even with the cats in- It was too loud without the cats in the X-pipe and had a lot of droning. The stock h-pipe probably has a lot to do with it- It has 4 cats! So you may not be happy till you replace that too. Made mucho difference on mine.
