ok...lots of people were asking about the flame thrower kit..pretty dang tough to install...you have to cut ignition wires, and such...but here are some results: <img src="http://www.6to8mustang.com/mustang/fire3.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></p> <img src="http://www.6to8mustang.com/mustang/fire2.jpg" border="0" alt="" /></p> and I have some videos on my webpage if you are interested...
hey.. it was a little over a hundred for the kit...installed it with a friend...took about 6 hours.. no melted paint...shoots out far enough past it...doesn't get any hotter than that pipe normally does....if paint would melt...oh well...just repaint for a couple hundred, totally worth it.. melted tires...they are z rated...hopefully I won't have any problems...it only shoots out for a couple seconds..doesn't get all the way back to the tires... try playing the videos: open media player, file, open url and then enter: www.6to8mustang.com/mustang/fvid2.mpg let me know..
Video wouldnt play for me either. it said that realplayer needed to download software...then it said nothing was available.
Actually, I think that's pretty wild. I was talking to someone with an F-150 with side exhaust, and he had problems where his chrome rims turned blue due to the heat that just the plain old side exhaust gave off. I'm curious to see how you fare with this mod. When I go side exhaust, I'm converting my side scoops to be functional just to help cool the tires as added insurance.
got it from www.gotflames.net cost around 125...put it in myself with a friend...took about 6 hours...
just make sure you have some time to put it in...takes a little while to install....also, make sure you have access to a welder...you need one to install the spark plugs into the exhaust.. feel free to drop me an email when you get it if you need any help: edanko@colgatealumni.org
Yeah how'd you get it to work?? It says it may not work on some EFI engines?? I actually want to put that on a chevette.
