My flowmasters are too quite for my taste. When i got the car they were nice, then i put dumps on them, made em a little louder inside my vert. but still not loud enough to make my stang stand out. I really don't have the money for a h or x pipe right now, it may be a while before i get the money actually i have other things i need to pay for first. What is a way to make my car louder with out spending more than lets say out $35-50??

That would be dropping your stock H, and gutting your cats. That, or if you're any good at welding, getting some pieces of pipe from the parts store, and chopping the cats completely. You could try some glasspacks, but they sound like a redneck pickup truck, in my opinion.

I can weld, the problem there is i have to find a welder to use. and wouldn't gutting your cats make it lose more power? because it would make pockets of air instead of the air flowing right throught it??
    and no to the glasspacks!!

    no cats = more power!

thats why most of us remove them to begin with. less restriction and more noise is another side affect

Would it be better/easy to gut the cats, or to cut and weld in some pipe?
Also if i were to gut the cats how would you do that?

to gut them you take the mid pipe off and beat them apart from the inside out. if your car is a 96-98 you will be MUCH better off buying an O/R pipe rather than gutting all 6 cats!!!

    yes

keep in mind with your car (if it's the one in your avatar) you have 6 cats to deal with. that's alot of welding and alot of room for errors, fitment and leaks and such

if you're going to go through all the trouble of removing and installing your stock H you might as well wait till you have some cash for a decent pipe

this isn't exactly like a set of brakes with no pad left or a tire with no tread or a ball joint falling apart. i think it can wait but that's just my opinion:shrug:
