    Finally got my foglights rewired so they will work with just the parking lights. Lookd good, I would say i'll take some pics but I think everyone knows what they look like.
    Now I have a very stupid question. Im embarressed to ask :nonono: here it is. What does the SN stand for on the newer model Mustangs? I see it on here all the time, but then saw it in a magazine yesterday. Dont laugh just answer the question.:rolleyes:

    thanks guys

    I have no idea what it stands for. It just refers to the chasis date. SN94 = 1994 Platform and SN95 = 1995 platform. I am sure you know that though, so I don't have anything good to contribute to the thread.

    BTW: how long did it take to rewire the fogs?

    Nope, that's not how it works.

    S = specialty/sport
    N= North American
    95 = 95th chassis to be certified

    The new chassis designations took over in the late 80's. Two of the earliest with the new chassis were the t-bird (MN12) and mark 8 (FN10)

    M= midsize
    N= north america
    12 = 12th chassis certified

    F = full size
    N = north america
    10 = 10th chassis

    I paid one of our techs to do it. It took him I guess about 1 1/2hrs. I paid him $40.00 and I got the relay from Radio Shack.

    using the corral write up it took me like a half hour and only a few bucks in parts....really easy fix.. You just have to work behind the headlight switch and I think I had to run one power wire from the engine bay.

    I have got to get around to doing that simple fix. I haven't had my fog lights on but about 3 times in all of the years I have had my fox because of the flickering.

    Speaking about foglights. Has anyone had any luck with just replacing the lenses. Both of mine fell off. One was retrieved. The other was retrieved in about 15 pieces. So I just need one lens. My lights work fine though. Dont know weather to order new lens or new assembly???

    the lenses just hook at the bottom and the little metal peice goes through and holds them on top.

    You need to remove the assembly and put the lenses on tho, so that you are sure to get a tight fit...its too hard to do it real good on the car.

    When one of mine fell off....because i put it back on when it was still in the bumper.....i just bought whole new lights bacause i wanted the yellow ones

    Don't make my mistake of forgetting to turn your headlights on at night. Mine are so bright that the headlights don't make much difference when driving around town (highway is a different story). I forgot once and got pulled over, but the cop understood and told me not to forget again.

    Wild86 I agree with ya. When I had my 86 I got pulled for running without my headlights but with my fog lights. He gave me a verbal warning. You know that law just does not make any sense to me. I had some lights on when their were other cars with just their parking lights or even no lights????? I think he was looking for a probable cause and that was it to pull me. Well to his suprise when he approached my car. I had my 6yr old son and 2yr old daughter in the car.
    I wish I could show you guys a pic of my 86 but all I have is a photo of it. Man it was sweet. gosh I miss that car.

    someone in here awhile back did this up-grade, and the person said they did not take the instrument cluster as far apart as the article from corral did........any insight on this, i mean is there an easier way or just follow the corral article?
