Nice, I really like the Aussie Ford Falcon. I don't know if it would really catch on though. And if it did I bet people would be ricing it out.

I like the Falcon, and think it would sell well providing Ford doesnt put an underpowered engine in it. Also a 5 or 6 speed trans would be nice. GM and Chrysler are already expanding their rear-drive car selection to meet demand, Ford should do the same. :nice:

I was thinking the same thing. Too rounded. Looks like a 4 door GTO.

The platform, like the GTO, is great though. I would like to see a style-revised version make it here although after the ultra slow sales of the GTO I doubt it.

I agree with that. The Falcon isn't trying to be a sports coupe.

Seems to me, I remember reading somewhere the Mustang owes it's birth to the Falcon

Exactly, if it wasn't for the falcon, the mustang probably wouldn't be what it is today. I love the aussie falcons from the 70's( when the falcon went away over here and became one helluva muscle car over there) to the new one's. Even though the falcon is roughly the size of a taurus, it would be cool to see the crown vic replaced by the falcon because down under it's a very popular police cruiser along with the Holden Commodore (aka Monaro, and GTO :flag: _) and there are several models to choose from so older people would buy it too. It would also be good for people who need a sedan for their family but still want some mustang-like hp. Bottom Line: make it left-hand drive and dual exhaust and send on over here! :nice:

Cool, don't hold your breathe though everyone, the article said 2008 if they make the decision soon. Still, better late than never. I'm sure by then it'll be looking better than ever too, hopefully with an alloy block for the V8.

There was a Ford Falcon covered up roaming the streets of Dearborn back in May.
