Under the long hood is a 6.4-liter aluminum V10 engine that pumps out an impressive 605 horsepower and 501 lb-ft of torque. The engine is positioned behind the front wheels, making the short front overhangs possible. This also makes a very balanced vehicle, with 52 percent of the weight in the rear.

Weighing just 3,075 lbs, this car has impressive performance figures. Sixty mph is reached in less than four seconds, and the top speed approaches 195 mph.

Do you think it will sell for under $50,000?

I think it's sweet, but it's just another car only the rich will be able to enjoy.

I do like the color scheme though, silver stripes on a shadow grey car look good.... :D :D :D

They profiled the building and fabrication of the Cobra last night on "Rides" on the Discovery Channel. Very cool. Hope they re-run as I only caught it halfway through.

Man look into the car before you make statments like that.
Ford had nothing to do with the body.
Carrol Shelby designed the car and Ford provided the powertrain.

    Can't complain about a 605 HP 390 CID V10 Mod motor!!!

    AZ....

You say "Carrol Shelby designed the car and Ford provided the powertrain"

I was under the impression that all Mr Shelby had to do with this car was to license his name to the project... Correct or incorrect?
