I've been watching F 1 for several years now and I really do enjoy it :nice:

They weigh about 1320 lbs
Please Note .... With the driver

    750 fwhp

    2.4 liter V8's turning 19K rpm

    7 speed trannies

0 to 100mph and back to 0 in 7 seconds

Once they reach about 70 mph ..........
They create so much down force ........ they could drive upside down

Just a few things that easily come to mind at the time :D

    2.4L V8 ... 19,000 rpm ... can you say de-stroked?

lol i'd love to see one running 100mph upside down through a tunnel. that would be amazing.

i think the S7 also can do that.

the lotus elise is also said to create good downforce.

I love F1. Went to Montreal a few years ago and spent a weekend there, then went to the race, pure insanity. I don't understand how all these Nascar freaks hate F1.

I actually got into an arguement with my sister-in-laws husband about Nascar vs. F1. He actually thinks that a stock car has more technology and innovation into it than a Formula 1 car and insisted that Nascar was a far superior form of motorsport racing. He is an idiot and I couldn't talk any sense into him, but F1 is the supreme motorsport in the world, period. The only people that don't know this are "ignorant americans".

Hope I didn't offend any nascar fans, it has it spot, but F1 is the Worlds Motorsport!

I would love to see a special demonstration of F1 downforce with a F1 car driving upside down in a tunnel MIB like LOL! Seriously though those cars are truely amazing! I would love to drive one just one time! Nascar tech is way behind F1 They still use carbs for god sakes!! They do get alot out of what they are limited to though and the Nascar drivers are some of the best in the racing world. I'm not saying that the drivers in F1 are bador worse than nascar either. The only thing that lacks in F1 is the fact that there is no brand recognition ie Ford, Chevy, Dodge, etc... Sure they use different brand engines but the cars all look the same. People relate to cars looking like their street cars. I know that there is nothing that can be done about this though due to the light weight aerodynamic nature of the cars. The racing is awsome and the speed is unbelievable though.

Sheesh. It's gotta be as close to being in a fighter plane as one can get on 4 wheels.

BTW Guero, you never cease to amaze me. :nice: I'm waiting for you to watch the new Bond movie and start a thread asking what it would take to assimilate some of the Bond-car devices in your stang. :D "Hey guys, I need pop-out rockets that look like an SVO side exhaust.............."

    I won't get into the whole Nascar vrs F1 as they are T O T A L Y in two
different Worlds and the technology is nowhere close to each other :nono:

About two years ago there was a time when they aired a tv show ......

It was when Juan Pablo Montoya was still in F1

They showed Juan Pablo and Jeff Gordon driving each others cars

Good Ole Boy Jeff came back from his first drive in Juan's ride and said ........

"You definitely got the short end of the stick in this deal" :rlaugh:
