Found an old Article about the original "gone" movie..

    what was the orginal color of eleanor cause my car was a golden glow but i going with a light blue with the argent gray

    It's some yellow-depends on if it's really a 73, or a 71 like they now say it is-it looks like a mustardy yellow in the movie, don't know if it's just an effect of the old tapes or not though. There is a really nice deeper blue for the big bodies-our replacement pass quarter is a very faded version of it, I like it. Ours is originally yellow (what's left that original anyway!!).

    As a direct result of this thread, I have found a genuine VHS copy from, I guess, the early eighties. It's a UK PAL version, so I have no idea what to expect, but I'm looking forward to it when it arrives.

    I think, that it will make me end up with the US NTSC VHS version, and also the re-mastered DVD...
