front tire size for 18's

i have 265/35/18's on right now, i would like to go a little taller and a little skinnier. the rims are 18x9 i have been looking at the following sizes. let me know if anyone is running any of them
265/35/18 same
265/40/18 same width & little taller
255/40/18 skinnier & taller
255/45/18 skinnier & taller
275/35/18 wider & about the same

the 255/45/18 is the best price, but is .7 inches taller than a 265/40/18 whick looks good in the fenders. would the 255/45/18 be too tall??

I would go with a 265/35/18.. I love how it looks on my car up front

I've got 265/35/18 up front and 285/35/18 out back

i have the 265/35/18 on it now and i want a taller tire. plus i dont like the way a wide front tire follows every dip in the road. thats why i want a skinnier tire up front and my 315/30/18 in the rear
