I just recently bought a preowned 05 GT, but im a little disappointed my golf clubs wont fit in the trunk. This is pretty crappy seeing as #1 i work at a golf course #2 i play golf 4-5 days a week and this is my only car.

The problem is the car has a Shaker1000 audio system and theres a giant speaker in the back, I'm debating taking it out, what do you guys think?

(the only other way is to pull down one of the back seets and have my clubs stick through which looks like crap)

Curious, but the golf club issue is the very reason the Thunderbird had poor sales.

Given the large size of the TBird trunk, may I suggest measuring first before yanking out the Shaker 1000 or at least trying them out in a car without the 1000? It still might not fit.

I agree, its best to put it thru the back seat. Life's a bi+ch. At least you didn't get a convertible; the only way to tote them around is across the back seat top down.

Will they fit if you remove the drivers? My dad can get his golf bag in his '07 Miata trunk if he does that.

Golf clubs will fit just fine without the sub. I don’t think taking out the woods will help, the sub takes up too much space.

Wouldn't the logical first choice be to remove the passengers?

Well im not going to give up my dream of buying a mustang because my clubs dont fit in the trunk

Also I bought the car used so I didnt really have a choice on the sub, it was a great running and priced car so I took it.

good idea, I didnt think about it i will try it.

BTW i was planning on just sticking them in the back seat, but I really dont wanna mess up my leather seats or get them dirty so i just poked it through one side of the passenger seats by pulling them down..... but now my car smells kinda bad like grassy golf clubs

imma go outside and try to pull the drivers out hahaha BRB

    Glad it worked for you:nice:

I hate to be the one to point this out to you...but, your back seats are not leather... Ford has done it that way since the late '90s:nonono:

can't believe i missed this thread, but yeah, thats what I do. The bag fits perfectly without the driver in my bag. :nice:

I should really leave the driver at home... but that could be discussed in another thread.

Never even tried my golf clubs in mine. Didn't buy the car for playing golf. I have extra long driver shaft as well . . .

Do you haul around 4 people in your stang? What is the back seat for anyway - midgets right? Take out the seats and put in carpet in their place. Reduces weight.

    Or

buy the Medicus golf clubs, you know the golf trainer clubs with the builtin hinges. That way you still play golf, have a new builtin handicap excuse for why you are playing so poorly, and still can get the clubs in the car. Of course you could also go with ladies clubs, there're a lot easier to hit and probably will improve your play around the green.

    News flash!:nice:
Put both my clubs and my wife's clubs in the trunk and still had room for my car cover! Not having the big 'ol woofer makes a big difference - Hey and mine is a CONVERTIBLE! :D

I have to take my driver out to get the bag in. Other than that no problem. I have the shaker 500 so no extra garbage in the trunk.

My cars are in my car 24/7 365 cuz you never know when you get sick on a beautiful tuesday afternoon and realize a round of golf is the best medicine!
